Alexandra Maria Lara is a Romanian German film and TV actress famous for her performance in movies such as Downfall Youth Without Youth Control and Rush. She was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra got into the showbiz world early and was performing lead roles in various TV dramas before she was sixteen. The Oscar-nominated film Downfall her character as Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudljunge was also critically acclaimed. The other Oscar nominated film starring the actress include The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex.
